I started biking to work today. It is a good win/win situation for me. The company actually wants us to be green so subsidize some of my public transportation.
The one bad thing about having clipless pedals is that with the adaptors on the pedals, the pedals still turn over because of the weight. So I have to start biking with one leg, but without the ability to pull up on the pedal. I think this actually makes it really hard to get the bike going once I stop.
This is where my bike stands when I get on BART, I just hang I there and play candy crush.
My goal is to bike around 2-3 times a week to work, which entails a 1 mile ride to the bart station, and 1 mile to the office once I get off the pleasanton station.
