I got into my acoustics of sound class. So its going to be a very building intensive quarter.
I have toi help out with supermileage and using their router. That’s the really boring part of manufacutring, when you go around slowly cutting a piece of wood. Its all programmed all we have
to do is watch the router as it moves across. I think I will have to put in 2 hours tomorrow just
adjusting and legtting it work.
Then I also have to start working on my electronics class. We are starting to draw our circuit in orcad, and will then etch it in 3-4 weeks.
Finally, I’m trying to figure out what kind of speaker to build for the acoustics of sound class. First, I really don’t care too much about what kind of speaker I build. I think it will cost around 200 or more, depending on what kind of materials i use. I think its 100 dollars for the plywood, and the drivers can range in price. So, if you want me to build you a custom speaker, I’ll build you one. But i’m only going to be building one, so first come first serve. I think this is what is going to happen. I’m going to choose a driver, and then I will build the box, and then fine tune the box to maximize the sound.
I don’t like having clases so late on friday, from 5pm-6pm MWF, there’s no one left on campus. Its seems only I am here. The only good thing is that I don’t start classes until after 12 MWF, and 9 T,TH.
So to sum up, I can build someone a custom speaker, the labor will be free, but you will have to reimburse me for the material. And building the speaker is 1 unit of the class.
